Stunning walks through beautiful, ancient bluebell woods

Surely one of the greatest spectacles of the English countryside is the sight and scent of a bluebell wood in full bloom. When that wood has a heritage dating back to the ancient Needwood Forest with oaks that may well have seen wolves and wild boar beneath their branches, the experience can be as humbling as it is magical.

The woods are looking absolutely gorgeous with plenty of bluebells already in flower, alongside other woodland flowers such as wood sorrel, primroses and ground ivy.

Last few jobs to be completed before opening this Saturday.

This year, regrettably, we will not be serving hot drinks. However, there will be slices of our delicious homemade cakes for you to takeaway and enjoy, cold drinks and ice creams. Bring a flask and picnic at our lovely picnic tables by the lake.

Please note photographic tripods are not permitted in the woods. Thank you for your cooperation
